Kenneth Pobo

WANDAWOOWOO DATES

I date dead writers.  They age well
underground or as dust bits.
Often they enter my window
like flies.  They buzz words,
don’t get grabby.  We share
a hammock made of sentences,
strong enough to hold us both.
Pushed by a lulling wind,
we get tipsy on silence.
The stars come
out of our mouths.
